Rodent Management

A rat or mouse problem rarely stays small. They breed quickly, chew through electrical wiring (a leading cause of house fires), and contaminate food storage. We use tamper-resistant bait stations for safety around kids and pets, work to find the entry points so they don't just keep coming back, and remove deceased animals where the bait has done its job in an inaccessible spot.

Are the baits safe around my pets?
Yes. We use tamper-resistant bait stations that are locked and can only be opened with a key, so dogs and cats can't reach the bait inside. For households with pets that dig persistently, we can switch to snap-trap programs in tamper-resistant boxes instead.
How do you stop rodents coming back?
Half the job is exclusion. We identify the entry points (gaps around pipes, vents, weep holes, broken roof tiles - anything bigger than a 10c coin lets a mouse in) and give you a list of where to seal or what to install. For commercial sites we can coordinate with builders or do the sealing ourselves.
What if there's a dead rodent in the wall after baiting?
Modern baits are formulated to slow rodents and drive them outside for water before they die, so most carcasses end up in the yard, not the wall. Occasionally one dies in an inaccessible spot. We come back to find and remove it where we can, and provide odour-control advice for the days it takes to dry out.
Do you do humane possum trapping?
Yes. Possums are protected wildlife so we trap with the correct cage type, hold them in a calm spot, and release within the 50m radius mandated by NPWS guidelines. We also install one-way doors so the possum can leave the roof but not re-enter, then seal up the entry point.
