Rodents (Rats & Mice)
If you hear them at night, they've already brought friends.
Rats and mice carry disease, gnaw electrical wiring (a leading cause of house fires) and breed at a rate that turns a small problem into a big one fast. Where you see one, there are usually a dozen. We deal with rodent issues in homes, sheds, businesses and rural properties, humanely and effectively.
Signs of infestation
- Droppings along skirting boards or in pantry corners
- Scratching, scampering or thumping in the roof void at night
- Chewed packaging or holes in the pantry
- Gnaw marks on timber, plastic or electrical cabling
- Greasy smear marks along skirtings (rats follow the same route)
- Distinct musky smell, particularly in roof spaces

- Inspection - roof void, sub-floor, garage, yard
- Tamper-resistant bait stations (safe around pets and kids)
- Snap-trap programs where bait isn't appropriate
- Entry-point identification - gaps you wouldn't think to check
- Deceased animal removal & odour mitigation
- Commercial rodent management with monthly station servicing
Prevention
- Seal gaps around pipes, vents and weep holes (anything bigger than a 10c coin)
- Trim trees that overhang the roof
- Don't store pet food in the garage in cardboard bags
- Keep compost bins lidded and away from the house
- Pick up fallen fruit and birdseed regularly
