Possums & Wildlife
Australian wildlife is protected. There's a right way to do this.
Possums in the roof, pigeons on the eaves, feral cats in the yard. Australian wildlife is protected, so any treatment needs to be humane and lawful. We trap and relocate possums, install one-way exits, set up bird proofing, and manage feral cats and other wildlife with the right paperwork and approach.
Signs of infestation
- Thumping or scratching in the roof void after dark (possums are nocturnal)
- Possum droppings on the deck or in the gutter
- Bird droppings staining eaves, gutters or paths
- Birds nesting in solar panels or eave gaps
- Damaged garden plants overnight

- Humane possum trapping in compliance with NPWS guidelines
- One-way exit door installation so possums can leave but not return
- Roof void seal-up after relocation
- Bird spike, netting and exclusion installation advice
- Feral animal trapping and management
- Coordination with cleaners for droppings removal
Prevention
- Trim back tree branches within jumping distance of the roof
- Block obvious entry points (broken tiles, missing whirlybirds) before sealing
- Install bird spikes early on commercial sites
- Keep pet food indoors overnight
- Don't leave compost or fallen fruit accessible
