Spiders
Most are harmless. The ones that aren't are a phone call away.
Most spiders in and around Newcastle homes are harmless web-builders - daddy long-legs, huntsmans, garden orb-weavers. A few aren't. Funnel-webs, redbacks, mouse spiders and white-tails can deliver bites that need medical attention. We treat the webbing species and inspect for the dangerous ones.

Signs of infestation
- Webs in eaves, corners, garden sheds and around outdoor lights
- Egg sacs in dark corners of garages and roof voids
- Spiders inside the house in autumn (mating season)
- Funnel-web burrows in damp ground around the perimeter
- Redbacks under outdoor furniture, in letterboxes, around brick edging
How we treat spiders
- External spider spray to eaves, walls, gutters, fence lines
- Residual treatment to harbourage points
- Knockdown of existing webs and egg sacs
- Inspection of high-risk spots (sheds, under decks)
- Identification advice for any unknowns you've found
Prevention
- Knock down webs regularly with a long-handled broom
- Keep outdoor lights off when not in use (they attract prey)
- Trim vegetation away from windows and doors
- Store firewood away from the house
- Check shoes left in the garage before putting them on
