Wasps & Bees
Don't go near it. Call us.
European wasps and paper wasps near a doorway or in a roof void are a real safety risk, particularly for kids, pets and anyone with allergies. Bee swarms look dramatic but usually move on within a day; established beehives need a beekeeper, not chemicals. We assess what you've got and treat or refer accordingly.

Signs of infestation
- Wasps coming and going from a single entry point
- Paper-mache style nests under eaves, in shrubs, around outdoor furniture
- Aggressive behaviour when you mow or use a leaf blower nearby
- Increased wasp activity around drinks and food outdoors
- Honey staining through a wall or ceiling (established hive)
How we treat wasps & bees
- Identification - wasp, native bee, European honey bee
- Direct nest treatment outside daylight hours (when activity is lowest)
- Eave, roof void and wall cavity nests
- Removal of accessible nests after treatment
- Beekeeper referral for healthy honey bee swarms
- Personal protective equipment & safety protocol throughout
Prevention
- Inspect eaves and outdoor furniture early in spring before nests establish
- Keep outdoor bins lidded, as wasps love sugary residue
- Don't leave open drinks or fruit out at lunch
- Treat early - small nests are far easier (and cheaper) than mature ones
- Seal small gaps in eaves and roof cavity before wasp season starts
