Fleas
Treat the pet, treat the house - both have to happen.
Fleas mean itchy pets and itchy ankles. Cat and dog fleas can also bite humans, particularly around the lower legs. Treatment only works if you do the house and the pet at the same time, and you stay on top of it for the full life cycle. We handle the house side; your vet handles the pet side.

Signs of infestation
- Pets scratching, biting at their tail base, hair loss
- Small itchy red bites on your ankles and lower legs
- Flea dirt (black specks that turn rusty-red when wet) in pet bedding
- Fleas jumping on socks when you walk through carpet
- Surge in activity after a vacant period (eggs hatch when vibration returns)
How we treat fleas
- Internal carpet & soft furnishings treatment
- External yard treatment to grass and pet-frequented areas
- Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) component to break the cycle
- Tenant-vacancy treatments before move-in
- Coordination advice for the pet-side treatment timing
Prevention
- Maintain year-round flea protection on every pet (check with your vet)
- Vacuum carpets and pet bedding regularly, and empty the bag/cylinder outside
- Wash pet bedding weekly on a hot cycle
- Keep grass short, especially in shaded areas where pets rest
- Treat outdoor spaces in spring before populations build
